Over 2.1 million people are currently displaced in North Eastern region of Nigeria, over 1 million people are struggling with severe food insecurity in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states and about 400,000 children aged less than five years are at risk of severe acute malnutrition. The Nigerian Government recently declared a nutrition emergency in the North East, yet the response so far has been inadequate.

We have previous extensive local experience and a wide partnership network with CBOs in several Local Government areas in the North East, including those that are currently inaccessible due to the ongoing insurgency and is willing to go anywhere to improve health and change lives.

Our core areas of specialty in Nutrition and health programming include; Nutrition in the context of HIV/AIDS, nutrition in emergencies, IYCF and CMAM programming, Monitoring and evaluation of nutritional interventions, clinical management of nutritious food, cash based assistance and household economic/livelihood strengthening, training and provision of technical assistance to government institutions and their staff, development and management of field clinics and rehabilitation centers.
