APIN and SH:24 Collaborates to provide easy Access to Free HIV Self-test Kits.

One of these barriers that hinder people from getting tested for HIV in health facilities is the need for privacy and fear of stigma.

To address this, APIN and SH:24 have collaborated to provide easy access to free HIV self-test kits in Anambra and Taraba states through an online service called Self-Test Nigeria which will allow people to get tested for HIV in the privacy of their homes or personal spaces.

The service has also a virtual support component through which friendly, trained advisors can support clients with HIV Self-testing, counseling, and education on safe sexual practices and appropriate linkage/referral for Gender-Based Violence via accessible platforms like WhatsApp while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and privacy.

If you’re interested in this service, please register via: https://self-test.hiv/nigeria/ to be the first to know when we launch.
