World AIDS Day: APIN Visits Wassa IDP Camp

#WorldAidsDay : Wassa IDP camp, Abuja, is home to over 5,000 internally displaced persons. As part of our activities to commemorate the 2022 World AIDS Day and in line with the theme: #Equalize to #EndAIDS, our HQ team visited the IDP camp to sensitize the residents on issues around HIV/AIDS.

It was a truly enlightening experience as the IDP community shared their concerns, questions and experiences around HIV/AIDS and other health issues including malaria and received answers and counseling from our team.

At the end of the event, Dr Plang Jwanle, our Director of Clinical Services, presented donated items such as foodstuffs, clothes and beverages to the Chairman of the IDP Camp on behalf of the management and staff of APIN. To ensure that there are no new infections of #HIV, we must ensure that everyone everywhere has unfettered access to HIV information as well as prevention & treatment services. Let’s #equalize #WorldAIDSDay2022 #APINInitiatives #ThisIsAPIN #WorkAtAPIN
