Cervical Cancer Awareness In Benue and Plateau States

In honour of World Cancer Day, we are flashing back to the cervical cancer awareness events held by our Benue and Plateau state program team to commemorate Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

This year, the focus was on ending cervical cancer by getting people informed, screened and vaccinated against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), and we did just that!

ONE OF OUR PLATEAU STATE TEAM MEMBER EDUCATING WOMEN ON CERVICAL CANCER

The Plateau State team held a two-day awareness campaign in two of the biggest sites in the State, Plateau State Specialist Hospital (PSSH) and Bingham University Teaching Hospital (BHUTH).

CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS IN BENUE STATE

APIN Benue State educated participants at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Makurdi and General Hospital, Gboko.

In both states, our teams educated the participants about cervical cancer and its complications, as well as its prevention through screening. After the interactive health talk, cervical cancer screening and treatment was conducted for interested eligible clients.

If you haven’t been screened for cervical cancer or vaccinated against HPV, what are you waiting for? Do it today!
