APIN Hosts 3rd National Clinical Mentorship Programme Retreat.

Fun times at the 3rd National Clinical Mentorship Programme (NCMP) retreat!

The retreat, hosted by APIN in partnership with the National AIDS, STIs and Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NASCP) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), held in Lagos and brought together 34 National Clinical Mentors from CDC and USAID-supported states in Nigeria, as well as core program managers from the academia, NASCP, US CDC Nigeria, APIN, Cihpng, and Ihv Nigeria.

The US Consular General, Dr. Michael Ervin and the National Coordinator of NASCP, Dr Adebobola T. Bashorun were also present at the retreat.

Besides reviewing the delivery and short term outcomes of the NCMP at all levels, the retreat helped bring these critical stakeholders together to define its future direction and successful integration into the Nigerian health system.

It wasn’t all work though, as the participants got the chance to relax, play sports and engage in other team bonding activities.
