At the inaugural edition of the 1st APIN Public Health Initiatives Annual Symposium, we brought together leading global and national experts in the public health landscape to discuss the theme, “Integrating Non-Communicable Diseases and HIV to Ensure Long and Quality lives for People Living with HIV (PLHIV)”.

We are privileged to have had Dr Salma Anas, the Special Adviser to the President on Health, the Honourable Minster of Health represented by the Director of Public Health, Dr Chukwuma Anyaike and our keynote speaker, Dr Prebo Barango of the NCD Division from the WHO HQ in Geneva.

There were thought-provoking sessions from Dr Mangai Toma Malau of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr Olaposi Olatoregun of PHISS3 project and our own Dr Abiodun Isah.

We also had a panel discussion with leading experts in HIV/AIDS and Non-Communicable Diseases from NASCP, Resolve to Save Lives, and two of our high-performing facilities in Benue and Plateau States.

Hosting this symposium was a dream come true for us and we can’t wait for next year’s edition!
