As part of our activities for the 16 Days of Activism campaign, APIN sensitized members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Apo secretariat.
Using interactive sessions, quizzes and role playing, we shared practical examples about how Gender-Based Violence (GBV) manifests in our communities, homes and society, and what each of us can do when confronted with acts of violence against women & girls.
This year’s theme, “UNiTE: End Violence Against Women and Girls” reminds us that change begins with each one of us. We can make a difference by challenging harmful cultural and societal norms; supporting and validating survivors; and speaking out against GBV to build a world where both genders can thrive and prosper.
To our dear NYSC members and the supervisors at the Apo secretariat, we say a big thank you, for their participation and support!
