Recently, APIN began integrating care for Non-communicable diseases (NCD) like Hypertension into the spectrum of services provided to People Living with HIV.

However, we observed that as public health experts, our staff are often so busy designing and delivering interventions to our clients, that they forget to care for themselves.

Our Abuja HQ office marked World Hypertension Day with a health seminar and wellness check for all staff. The health seminar was delivered by our NCD Integration focal person, Dr Abiodun Isah and staff were able to get their blood pressure sugar levels and BMIs checked.

He emphasized the importance of routine health checks and a healthy lifestyle for detecting hypertension and other NCDs promptly.
