Mr. Sama’ila Rimaye

Associate Director, Procurement

Sama’ila Rimaye joined APIN Public Health Initiatives in March, 2009. He is the Associate Director in charge of the Procurement function.
He leads APIN’s procurement function, collating and attending to requests from across the organisation’s offices and project portfolios for the procurement of goods and services, managing relationships with vendors, and ensuring strict adherence to procurement policies and procedures so that every transaction is transparent, accountable, well documented and delivers value for money.
He also manages the organisation’s relationships with insurance companies, ensuring that all assets are comprehensively insured and following up on indemnity claims and settlements as needed.
He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and a Master’s in Public Sector Accounting (MIPSA). He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). He brings extensive experience in accounting, financial management and procurement. Before joining APIN, he served as Chief Accountant to several arms of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), including as the Headquarters’ Accountant.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Outside work, Mr Rimaye enjoys sightseeing and listening to music.
