Wole was the first Country Director of the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) project, AIDS Prevention Initiatives in Nigeria (APIN) which was the precursor to the present-day APIN Public Health Initiatives. He has over 20 years of experience working with government and international organizations on public health-related issues. In his current role with the World Bank, he serves as the focal point for Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone. Before joining the GFF, he led innovative service delivery projects targeting primary health care systems with a focus on promoting accountability, reducing social inequality and improving health outcomes for children and women in marginalized and underserved communities in Nigeria and other African countries. He also did significant work on adolescent reproductive health and HIV prevention and control. He is a 1981 graduate of College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and Keele University, United Kingdom.
